Stories about the Devil serve to inspire fear as well as to educate. In this podcast we will talk about three different older Mexican legends about the Devil, as written by folklorist Anthony John Campos in his book Mexican Folk Tales:
1. The Devil Does a Good Deed for an Old Lady
2. The Priest Goes Down to Hell
3. The Pulque Vendor Tricks the Devil
No one knows how old these stories are, but the author believes they originated in central or central-western Mexico.
